To raise awareness and drive sales of National Geographic's many book titles.
To increase brand awareness and to promote individual titles DX developed a strategy to effectively target and engage potential consumers while aggregating them in a community. DX designed and developed a diverse array of applications showcasing not only individual titles but all of National Geographic Books in custom Bookshelf applications. Additionally DX raised brand and book title awareness through 24-7 social community management, targeted media campaigns and sweepstakes.
Michael Dub, partner, manages all aspects of online strategy and traffic driving solutions including SEO, analytics and revenue generation.
Previously, Michael was the Vice President of Audience Development for Time Inc. Digital, where he was responsible for increasing traffic to the Time magazine websites through strategic content distribution deals, search engine optimization, and the use of desktop tools and applications.
Prior to Time Inc., Michael was the Director of Consumer Marketing for MTV: Music Television responsible for the development and execution of channel-wide marketing campaign deepening MTV's audience relationship and increasing ancillary business revenue.
Michael is a graduate of Syracuse University's School of Management.
Benjamin Hordell, founding partner, applied his expertise in marketing in music entertainment to form the basis for a digital marketing and advertising firm when he and Mr. Klein founded DXagency in 2004.
Benjamin began his career at Everfine Records where he was in charge of grassroots, lifestyle and youth culture marketing. Benjamin's expertise in identifying and marketing to highly targeted subsets of the population contributed to Everfine recording artist O.A.R. becoming one of the most successful independent artists at the time and signing with Atlantic Records.
At DX, Benjamin specializes in marketing strategy, creative ideation and consulting companies how to most effectively invest their marketing dollars. Benjamin works directly with Madison Square Garden, National Geographic, DIRECTV and VIACOM.
Ben graduated cum laude from Miami University with a B.S. in Management and Marketing.
Mark Klein, managing partner, has been active in the entertainment and marketing industries for over 25 years. Prior to founding DXagency with Benjamin Hordell, Mark owned and operated Hot Sauce Marketing, a music marketing company he founded in 1996.
Previously, Mark was with Sony Music, where he was in charge of promotion to video outlets including MTV, VH-1, The Box and BET. Throughout his tenure at Sony, he worked with Epic artists Michael Jackson, Pearl Jam, Oasis, Celine Dion, Gloria Estefan, Rage Against The Machine and Ozzy Osbourne, among others.
Mark graduated from Baruch College with a B.B.A. with a specialty in Human Resources Management.
